The IFF Core gets its final housing

Cut corners, a glove-friendly switch, a battery check with four LEDs and a flush rubber cap over USB-C: what changes with housing v24.

The IFF Core in housing v24, seen from four sides

The IFF Core has a new housing. Version 24 is the shape the module will ship in: a square with 45° corner cuts and faceted bevels that sits well in the hand and on a rail.

Built to be used with gloves

Everything an operator needs sits on one side wall, in one column: the battery button, four white LEDs and the switch.

  • One slide switch: green shows the core is live
  • Battery check: press the button, four LEDs show the charge
  • USB-C behind a flush rubber cap

A flat back for mounts

The back is flat, so holders, straps and mounts can be added for each platform without changing the core itself.
